We are creating a book that honours the remarkable contributions of Black individuals throughout Hackney's history — from community leaders and activists to artists, educators and everyday heroes. Through careful research and community engagement, we are building a lasting record of the vital role Black people have played in making Hackney the vibrant borough it is today
